In the wake of the recent incidents of earthquakes, landslides and other calamities that has been happening recently, an Emergency Preparedness and Basic First Aid Seminar was conducted at the Training Center last 12th of July for the benefit of the Foundation’s class 7 scholars.

The seminar was conducted by La Rose Noire Philippines, Inc.’s Safety, Health and Environment Department Supervisor and Safety Officer, Mr. Benedict Quiambao.

The seminar has the following objectives in mind: (1) to gather knowledge and prepare students to prevent fatalities and injuries, reduce damage to buildings, stock, and equipment, protect the environment and the community and (2) to educate and train staff, students and employees on emergency response and activities during disasters and calamities.

Included in the seminar were an earthquake drill, CPR demonstration as well as hands on practice on the use of fire extinguishers.
